- Several mornings a week I drag myself out of bed at
3 o'clock in the morning
to fly one of PenAir's airplanes, filled
with mail and groceries, to small towns in Alaska. I'm usually back in
Anchorage by 2:00 pm. Then I hop into my Honda
Element and drive to Dynamic
Properties where I work as a Realtor®
until evening. I've been a pilot since I was 16 years old and a Realtor®
since 1996. The jury's still out on the Element. I think I like it.

- My dad was a Northwest Airlines captain
in the 1940's through 1970's. He taught me how to fly in a 1947 Cessna-140. I
graduated from Princeton High School in Minnesota
and left Mankato State University
with a bachelor's degree in education in 1977. Ah, yes. I've many
hidden talents.

- The kids began arriving in 1985. First Valerie, who lives in Anchorage. Then Thor, a
junior at North Park University
in Chicago. And finally Jilli, a freshman, also at North Park
University.

- In 1996 I became a licensed Realtor®.
It turns out I'm good at it,
so I've been helping clients buy and sell real estate successfully ever since. Check out

- What is SRES? It
stands for Senior Real Estate Specialist. This is a designation offered
by those REALTORS® who want to offer more expertise related to the real
estate concerns of people over 50. I flew to Palm Springs, CA in April
of 2008 to take the class and, yes, I passed the test.
