About Us

We have been a team since 1983. Commercial pilots retire young and later need to dedicate their care and attention to detail serving people in a new way on the ground. We are experienced and dedicated to doing just that since 1996 with integrity and an attitude of service. It shows in our long list of enthusiastic buyers and sellers. See our listings and comments and be impressed with how we can help you to join this happy bunch of Alaskans.

Larry's dad was a Northwest Airlines captain from the 1940's through the 1970's. He taught Larry how to fly in a 1947 Cessna-140 and Larry became a pilot at sixteen years old. He graduated from Princeton High School in Minnesota and left Mankato State University with a bachelor's degree in education in 1977. Ah, yes. He has many hidden talents.

Paula was born in Nome, Alaska. She likes to say that she is a native Alaskan, but not an Alaska Native. She lived many places around the state of Alaska while growing up, including Anchorage a couple times, King Salmon a couple times, another stint in Nome, Fairbanks, and Delta Jct. She graduated from Bristol Bay High School in 1975 and then graduated from Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka with an associate degree in 1977.

Larry took his first flying job in Dillingham, Alaska in 1978. He moved to King Salmon the following year to work for PenAir That's where he and Paula met. They were married in Anchorage in 1983.

The kids began arriving in 1985. Valerie, Thor, and Jilli all live in Alaska. The grandkids began arriving in 2018. More to come.

In 1996 Larry became a licensed Real Estate Professional. Paula always enjoyed looking at houses with him, so she joined his real estate business in 2007. Larry retired from commercial flying in 2011. You'll find that he's a low-key salesperson, he won't push. YOU make the decisions. He tells you the rules, gives you the options, and Paula prepares the paperwork.
